EVAN JONES
is a well known KwaZulu-Natal & Battlefields Specialist Tourist
Guide. Registered as a
guide in 1991, he is recognised as an historian with an
exceptionally well researched knowledge of his subject. He lived in Dundee – the heart of the Battlefields Route for 36 years and has an intimate knowledge of the area which boasts 68 battle and skirmish sites. He grew up on deed of derring-do, following in the footsteps of his late father – Fred Jones, Historian and first curator of Talana Museum in Dundee, Northern KwaZulu Natal. |
| Evan,
a Regional Guide, is a founder member and was Chairman 97/98 & 98/99
of the Midlands branch of KZN Tourist guides.
He is also the representative member of the company of the PCCI
(Pietermaritzburg Chamber of Commerce and Industries).
With Evan you will re-live the drama and bravery of battles
between Zulu/British & Boer/British – interspersed with strange
and laughable stories on people and events. |
